NEII's Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources for the Building Transportation Industry

News Related to COVID-19 from the jurisdictions this week:
  • Alabama: The Safer at Home Order has been extended until 3/5/21
  • California: On 1/25/21, the Regional Stay at Homer Order lifted. This allows counties to return to the Blueprint for a Safer Economy and color-coded tier system. One county is in the moderate tier, 3 counties are in the substantial tier, and the remaining counties are in the widespread tier.
    • California announced this week (1/25) a significant change in COVID vaccine administration. Priority will be individuals age 65 years and older, certain frontline workers (teachers, emergency services/first responders, and agricultural and food sector workers), and individuals residing in vulnerable communities. Following this revised group, California will shift solely to age-based distribution.
  • Hawaii: Self-quarantine has been reduced from 14 days to 10 days for travel or submit a negative test result within 72 hours of final leg of travel to bypass quarantine
  • Illinois: As of 1/26/21, Region 4 is under Tier 2 mitigations, Regions 7-11 are under Tier 1, and Regions 1-3 and 5-6 are under Phase 4 Restrictions
  • Indiana: Moved back into Stage 5 of the Back on Track reopening plan
  • Kansas: Travel restrictions: quarantine length varies depending on COVID-19 testing. Anyone who has traveled outside of the state to a mass gathering of 500 people or more must quarantine

  • Ohio: Gov. DeWine issued a curfew from 10pm – 5am has been extended until 1/30/21
  • Pennsylvania: The state will not reestablish the phased color-coded reopening plan used previously in the pandemic. Travel restrictions include a required negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of entering the commonwealth or quarantine for 10 days
  • Virginia: Modified stay at home order requiring Virginians to stay at home between 12am and 5am unless for essential purposes has been extended until 2/28/21
