NEII Appointed to CISA Critical Manufacturing Sector
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and reopening efforts, NEII has been engaged with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to ensure that the building transportation industry and work on our equipment is identified as an essential business. In addition, we worked with CISA to secure supply chain operations and the delivery of equipment and components.
NEII is pleased to announce that NEII’s work with CISA will continue beyond COVID-19. Amy Blankenbiller, NEII VP of Government Affairs, has been appointed as a member of the CISA Critical Manufacturing Sector Coordinating Council (CM SSC). Kevin Brinkman, VP of Codes and Safety will serve as her alternate. As part of the CM SSC, NEII will partner with other critical manufacturers and associations of the United States to develop and coordinate contingency plans to ensure operations can continue in the event of possible attacks to our infrastructure, whether physical or cyber, man-made or the result of natural disaster.
