There is Still Time to Complete Our Volunteer Survey!

NEII is on a mission to recognize all of our volunteers who spend so much time and energy on behalf of the industry. If you serve on a NEII committee, working group or elevator board, please take a few minutes to complete our volunteer survey.

We look forward to the opportunity to thank you for your efforts on behalf of our mission.

International Code Council to host fall conference and Code Hearings in Pittsburgh

The International Code Council will host its 2021 Annual Conference and Group A Public Comment Hearings from September 19-28 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The Committee Action Hearings for Group A, which is the start of the new cycle, are currently in process in a virtual format and will be concluding on May 5.

The annual conference brings together professionals from every sector of the building industry to learn new skills, share best practices, and hear from leading professionals in the building safety and construction space. Immediately following the conference, attendees will participate in the Group A Public Comment Hearings on the development of the 2024 International Codes, the most widely used and adopted set of building safety codes in the world.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will have additional measures in place to allow our members, stakeholders and employees to gather together safely. In addition to the in-person event, some sessions will be offered virtually. More details about the schedule are forthcoming.

For additional information, visit www.iccsafe.org/conference.

May is Building Safety Month

The International Code Council’s 41st annual Building Safety Month takes place in May. The theme for 2021 is “Prevent, Prepare, Protect. Building Codes Save.” Each year, Building Safety Month raises awareness about the importance of building codes in ensuring safety in the spaces in which we live, work and learn. As always, NEII will be amplifying ICC’s Building Safety Month messaging in May. If you don’t already, please follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn.
